Siemens presents Centra – The world’s first trainable hearing instrument

This is perfect high-technology in a highly compact format. Siemens has developed a new family of hearing aids which set new standards in terms of hearing comfort. The Centra hearing aids are equipped with a new, fully-automatic system to reduce disturbing transient noises. “SoundSmoothingTM ” is able to identify and reduce sudden impulsive noises. And, they are also the first learning hearing aids. Thanks to "Data LearningTM" they are able to register which volume setting the wearer prefers and can adjust to these as required. Further features, such as the e2e wireless technology, improved wind noise suppression and an extremely sensitive anti-feedback system, offer the wearer of the new Centra hearing aids an unprecedented hearing experience. The Centra hearing aids were presented at the 2006 American Academy of Audiology's annual convention in Minneapolis (5 – 8 April 2006).
